Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Cliented platform and associated services. By accessing or using Cliented, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

1. Purpose and Scope

This AUP applies to all users of the Cliented client operating system, including administrators, team members, and any individuals who access the platform through a Cliented account. It supplements our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

2. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Cliented platform to engage in any of the following:

2.1 Illegal and Harmful Activities

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
  • Infringe any intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party
  • Engage in fraud, deception, or misrepresentation of any kind
  • Facilitate money laundering, terrorism financing, or other illegal financial activities
  • Process or store data belonging to sanctioned individuals or entities

2.2 Security Violations

  • Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the platform
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Cliented platform or its infrastructure
  • Transmit, upload, or distribute malware, viruses, Trojan horses, ransomware, or any other harmful code
  • Conduct penetration testing or security scanning without prior written authorization from Cliented
  • Trick, defraud, or attempt to learn other users' credentials or sensitive account information

2.3 Platform Abuse

  • Systematically retrieve data from the platform to create a competing product, database, or directory
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the platform without authorization
  • Exceed any usage limits or rate limits specified in your subscription plan
  • Resell, sublicense, or share access to the platform without Cliented's written consent
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or impair the platform's infrastructure or performance

2.4 Data and Privacy Violations

  • Input or manage data belonging to individuals without their appropriate consent
  • Use the platform to store or process sensitive personal data (e.g., government IDs, payment card numbers) outside of designated secure fields
  • Share client data beyond what is necessary and authorized for your use case
  • Use client data from the platform for purposes other than legitimate client relationship management

2.5 Harmful Content

  • Upload, store, or distribute any content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive
  • Use the platform to facilitate harassment, stalking, or intimidation of individuals
  • Store or transmit content that infringes third-party copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets
  • Use the platform to generate, store, or distribute spam, unsolicited marketing, or phishing materials

3. Responsible Use of Client Data

Because Cliented is used to manage real client relationships and sensitive business information, we expect all users to handle client data responsibly:

  • Only input client data that you are authorized to process on behalf of your clients
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality and data protection for all client information stored on the platform
  • Inform your clients appropriately about how their information is managed
  • Comply with all applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA) in your jurisdiction
  • Promptly delete client data upon request or when your relationship with a client ends, where required by law or contract

4. Consequences of Violations

Cliented reserves the right to investigate any suspected violations of this AUP. Upon investigation, we may take any of the following actions at our sole discretion:

  • Issue a formal warning to the account holder
  • Temporarily suspend access to the platform
  • Permanently terminate the account without refund
  • Remove or disable access to content that violates this AUP
  • Report violations to appropriate law enforcement authorities
  • Seek legal remedies for violations that cause harm to Cliented or third parties

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP by another user, or if you believe your account or client data has been compromised, please report it immediately to:

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
